Three Different Types Of Barbeque Grills

in Food

People use Barbeque Grills for family gatherings or outdoor social events. Every summer millions of people grill outdoors because they enjoy the setting and also the taste of barbecues food. There are several different models of grills available to purchase. The different styles use different fuels to cook the food. The basic charcoal barbecue uses briquettes, which can be purchased at any store during the summer. The propane grill uses gas, which needs to be purchased through an authorized dealer.

Charcoal Barbecues

The classic barbecue using charcoal is created in a round style. This item comes with a separate cover to use when smoking foods. The cover comes with an adjustable opening so the cook can allow a degree of smoke to escape or close it completely to keep all of the smoke inside. Wood chips soaked in water or other liquids can also be added in the base to provide flavor as the meat cooks. This grill comes on a tripod base with one side having wheels. The wheels make it easy to move the unit before and after cooking.

Gas Cookers

The propane units are becoming popular because they cook food without creating an ashy taste or smell. They also do not have any ashes which need to be dumped out after use like the charcoal units do. These products can be found in a variety of shapes designed to be either round or rectangular. They are also available in different sizes including some portable units. The classic outdoor style uses a rectangular design and comes with an attached lid. This lid also allows the adjustment for smoke when the cover is shut.

The deluxe propane models often come with boards on the side designed as surfaces for food preparation. Some styles will include shelves underneath the main body and have hooks for placing the various utensils. The base on these items can be designed with or without wheels.

Portable Barbecues

The portable styles are available as charcoal burning units as well as gas burning models. These are designed to be easy to transport so people can take them along on vacation or to a picnic in the park. These also come in both the rectangular and round shapes and have small legs designed to collapse for easy storage. All of the Barbeque Grills include the removable metal grate used to place food on. The various models can be found in the classic black color or in new designs made of stainless steel.
